BABY SHOWER CHECKLIST
Whether you’re planning your baby shower or one for a friend, getting everything arranged can be a little stressful – especially as there can be quite a lot to do – and you want to make it as perfect as possible.
The big secret to planning the best baby shower is to plan ahead…
So, to help you plan the ultimate baby shower, we have created a great baby shower checklist for you, so you can ensure everything is ready for the big day!
10 weeks before the baby shower checklist
- Decide who will be hosting the shower – you or a friend/relative?
- Set a budget – you don’t have to spend a fortune on a baby shower to make it great
- Decide where the baby shower will be – at someone’s house? A restaurant?
- Pick a date – and don’t forget to let everyone know! A Facebook group can be perfect for this
- Make a guest list – ensuring you have everyone the mum-to-be will want there
- Get a list from the mum-to-be of anything she needs for her new arrival, and send out the gift list to those who are invited
6 weeks before the baby shower checklist
- Choose a theme for the baby shower (you don’t have to do this)
- Check with everyone you invited they can make it so you have firm numbers
- Go shopping – buy the decorations (or you can make them yourself) – you can also do this online
- Think about whether you would like to have a baby shower cake or not (and order it) or of course, you can make it yourself!
- Plan the menu – if you don’t want a big meal, you can simply choose to have a buffet style which doesn’t have to cost you a fortune
4 weeks before the baby shower checklist
- Make sure you can rope in some friends or family to help with the set-up of the baby shower
- Order the cake if you’ve decided to have one
- Prepare some baby shower games to keep everyone entertained (the simpler these are the better!)
1 week before the baby shower checklist
- Begin creating some goody bags – remember, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on these
- If you’re having the baby shower out and not at the mum-to-be’s home, begin thinking of how you’ll be able to help her get any gifts home
- Decide who will be the photographer – this can be you or a friend, to make sure you get lots of lovely snaps of the day for the mum-to-be to cherish forever
With the use of our checklist, your baby shower planning should be super simple.
Have lots of fun!
